Claud Monet

Monet was a great French painter who started an important 19C art movemet called Impressionism Impressionism got its name from an early Monet painting called "impression, sunrise". This work was show at the first impressionist Exhibition in 1874.
Before Monet, most painters tried to reproduce their subjects in exact detail or just imitate the works of great masters Monet studied nature and attempted to convey in his paintings his direct impressions. For example, he tried to recreate the effects of light in his paintings. In his mature works, Monet painted the same subject many times in a series to render different effects. Famous such efforts are "houses of parliament, london", "rouen cathedral" and "water lilies"
His work had a huge influence on his contemporaries and or later generations of painters.
Most people like lilies of Monet, but I like people of Monet.
Because all of them looks worm and happy.
